BCIS offers International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)

BCIS will offer the internationally recognised UK qualification International General Certificate in Secondary Education (IGCSE) in addition to the MOET/Canadian curriculum. The program is for students aged 14 - 16 and has been designed for students worldwide, including those whose first language is not English. Opening up opportunities worldwide the IGCSE qualification is recognised by leading universities around the world and employers view it as a valuable certificate of achievement.

The IGCSE program is currently taught in more than 140 countries with 3.700 schools, including 1.300 schools in the United Kingdom.

In the UK, Cambridge IGCSE is accepted as equivalent to the GCSE. A good grade (grade C or above) in Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language is accepted for entry by a number of universities in the UK as evidence of competence in the English language and leads onto the Advanced Level (A Level) programe.
