Keep the tuition fees unchanged in the school year 2022-2023 for current parents

August 27, 2021

Dear Families,

First of all, the Board of Directors (BoD) and the Leadership Team (LT) would like to send our best wishes for health and safety to you and your family. We always hope that the CISS Community will continue to overcome this most difficult time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As you know, the schools in our system have started the new school year on-line for all levels, from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Under the directives of the HCMC Government, there is no opening ceremony, and schools may have to teach on-line until the end of the first semester. However, the Leadership Team and our teachers have prepared well with many solutions to help our students complete this school year effectively. We understand all the difficulties that are happening and affecting our student’s  learning process due to the global pandemic. We hope that our students will make more efforts in order to overcome the challenges we face together during this period.

During the pandemic last year, in the spirit of sympathy and support for parents, the BoD announced to keep the tuition fees unchanged for two consecutive school years (2020 - 2021 and 2021 - 2022), and made a cooperative agreement with our banking partners to support parents to pay their tuition fees in installments with 0% interest (the school pays the interest in these cases). These were some solutions developed to help parents experience some relief from the financial pressures they faced with regard to their children's education, while at the same time, tackling the present economic crises due to the pandemic.

From May 2021 until now, the fourth wave of the pandemic broke out violently in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces, which has caused a great loss of human lives and continues to stall all economic activities. The citizens, including our parents in our system, continue to deal with these difficulties and need more time to overcome this great time of economic loss. With deep sympathy and the desire to share with parents this burden, the BoD decided to keep the tuition fee policy unchanged, with no increase in the next school year of 2022 - 2023 (this means that the tuition fee applied for the parents this school year will be stabilized for the school year 2022-2023, adhering to the time frame for the payment of tuition fees). With this non-increase to tuition fees commitment, our schools have also paid for the interest rates so that our banking partners can continue to maintain the 0% interest installment credit card program for all parents within our school system. In addition, we are planning for the further expansion of the "Accumulated Tuition Fee" program. This is actually a reduced tuition fees program that is calculated according to the number of years of study at CISS and creates opportunities for parents to have savings for their children after completing Grade 12 at CISS. Parents (especially at the Elementary level) can contact the Admissions Office for further details and information.

Once again, we wish you and your family all the very best as we continue to live our lives in the midst of this pandemic. We hope to see you at the CISS campuses as soon as possible.

Thank you for your trust and companionship.

THE CISS BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND LEADERSHIP TEAM
