Supporting parents to borrow to pay for their children’s tuition fee at 0% interest rate is one of the prominent contents of the strategic cooperation agreement between Shinhan Bank Vietnam and Khoi Nguyen Educational Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (KNE), that had been signed by these two units in the morning of March 4th, 2021 in Ho Chi Minh city.
In the framework of the signed partnership agreement, Shinhan Bank and KNE will jointly provide low-interest credit offers to parents to have more financial ownership in making investment in education for their children by advancing tuition fees. Shinhan Bank will also issue credit cards with 0% installment payments and payment terms from 6 to 9 months supported by KNE to enable parents of students at The Canadian International School System (CISS) to make annual tuition fee payments. KNE is currently the owner of CISS, including: Canadian International School (CIS); Bilingual Canadian International School (BCIS); Canadian-Vietnam Kindergarten (CVK); Albert Einstein School (AES) and E-Study Online Teaching School.
Additionally, Shinhan Bank will provide further utilities and exclusive offers to schools and entities in KNE network, including payroll service, preferential personal loans to teachers, co-branded credit cards and debit cards.
Moreover, Shinhan Bank also promises to grant credits to KNE and its network schools for further investments in facilities, educational equipment or developing new educational projects.
Meanwhile, KNE will support Shinhan Bank in promoting the “School Banking” tuition collection product, which enables tuition payment for KNE schools network and Shinhan Bank's online payment website. This system instantly records and automatically tracks cash inflows.
Mr. Kang Gew Gon said that: “I believe KNE group is the education pioneer that has contributed much to Vietnam with a long-term view for the future of their students. Today, I strongly believe that the strategic partnership agreement will create a foundation for a close association and co-operation for sustainable development between Shinhan Bank and KNE”.
Mr. Trinh Quang Dong also shared: “Shinhan Bank is a new partner, but it has proved to be the one who is very active, understanding and willing to share solutions with us to achieve this goal. I believe that with rich experiences, high trust, dedication and quality services that are widely recognized in Vietnam, Shinhan Bank will become a long-term and popular partner with KNE’s educational community. Also in the signing ceremony, the representatives of the two sides awarded - received the title of Honorary Members to each other, in order to recognize the valuable contributions of the members of the Board of Directors of the two sides and pledged to continue to share and support on the common development path in the future.
